Joint Vision Documentary 2020 defines the organizational goals and missions of the US military in the future. The document identifies "centralized logistics" as a key element in mastering a wide range of combat operations in future conflicts. Therefore, logistics need to increase its presence in computer simulation environments so that it can portray the military environment of the real world in all its complexities. Today, most military simulation environments do not provide a complete picture of logistics and its impact on the operational capability of forces. Therefore, to investigate the above shortcoming, this paper discusses an advanced technology that involves the placement of accurate and realistic military logistics alternatives in distributed computer simulation systems. In the first part of the article, we examine the exact modeling required for logistics in simulation programs. In the second part, we discuss the architectural proposal of logistics simulation software and the use of its capabilities for logistics modeling. The third part of the article discusses the software system, which is a combination of Ultra Log and Cougaar, and how we recommend them for use in a distributed simulation program, as well as the capabilities of the simulation system for We need to pay attention to the use of these systems, and we will see how simulation can be combined with them to introduce the real limitations of logistics in the form of military simulation. The paper concludes with suggestions for future activities and further steps that can be taken to integrate logistics into simulation.
