Journal History

The field of logistics and supply chain is one of the most trending and practical issues that all organizations deal with in some way. Economic developments, market requirements, the intensity of competition, the emergence of new technologies, changes in customer satisfaction rates and organizations and the multitude of suppliers are all part of the reasons that have necessitated the design and definition of a supply chain management perspective in organizations. The Centre for Logistics Studies and Research, which was established with the aim of institutionalizing research, studies, production and development of knowledge and technologies in the field of logistics and supply chain, has tried to provide a favourable atmosphere to provide the latest information, achievements, studies and research on recurring issues in logistics and supply chain in the country. This magazine was initially published in the first half of the year 1998 with the name of “Logistics” and after a few issues it was renamed to “Farmad” quarterly. However, in order to identify and provide easier access for the scientific community, researchers, industry leaders and experts in the field of logistics and supply chain to the contents of the journal, on August 21th 2007, with the approval of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, it was renamed "Supply Chain Management". Supply Chain Management Quarterly is published in order to achieve the goals and macro research policies of Imam Hussein University and the Centre for Logistics Studies and Research with the following objectives:

  1. Development and dissemination of logistics and supply chain knowledge in the country
  2. Publishing scientific articles and presenting research
  3. Establishing connections between educational, scientific and research centres and sharing the results of findings, experience, production and developing existing theoretical knowledge in logistics and supply chain management
  4. Creating an intellectual base to use the ideas and theories of experts in the industry
  5. Organisational transfer of logistics experience
  6. Recognition and introduction of ideas, innovations and scientific creations at a national and international level
  7. Establishing constructive communication between members and logistics officials in national organizations and armed forces
  8. Providing the latest scientific and specialized information in the field of logistics and supply chain
  9. Strengthening the motivation of researchers active in the field of logistics and supply chain for effective presence in scientific, national and international arenas.

The scientific journal "Supply Chain Management" which has a license from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology No. 123153/3 dated 6/13/1391, invites all professors, researchers, experts and interested parties to submit their works in Submit the format of research and applied articles, in line with the specialized axes of the publication.
