Supply chain strategy as a multi functional strategy can assist organizations to achieve their strategic goals. Despite of other studies in the field of supply chain strategy, yet it’s necessary to have more studies in this field. So in this article we recommend new model for formation and control of supply chain strategies. After investigating previous research’s five dimensions recognized as a supply chain strategy dimensions. They are: x-efficiency, cost efficiency, dynamic efficiency, responsiveness and robustness. then BSC (Balanced Scorecard) is used as a tool for controlling and evaluating strategic performance of supply chain. Finally by use of recommended competency model the supply chain strategy of a carpet company as a case study has been formulating and then BSC has been used as a control tool of supply chain strategy of that company.
