Smart transportation technologies in Korean commercial vehicles

Abstract
The Korean Ministry of Housing and Transportation has launched a large-scale operation to implement intelligent transportation systems (by implementing a strategic plan for these systems in 1996). The Korean government hopes that intelligent transportation systems will solve transportation problems such as road congestion, air pollution and the security of communication systems. Logistics infrastructure is a critical factor for Korea. The operation of commercial vehicles is an information network that facilitates logistics services through transportation infrastructure and logistics facilities such as railway terminals, heavy machinery terminals and warehouses. This article introduces the terms and technologies of commercial vehicle operations as well as similar terms such as commercial vehicle systems and information networks.
