In a research project being conducted in collaboration with SINTEF researchers and commercially active companies that make up the value chain in Norway, we seek to identify a new approach and provide a management model for developing and implementing integrated logistics value chains. Our goal is to use this model and method, if possible, as a tool to apply the same in logistics integration. During the project, we realized that we needed a significant approach to value chain analysis. Using Porter's model and other related theories, and based on discussions with representatives of companies participating in the research, we moved toward creating a process-oriented model for this type of value chain. From this point of view, this study has made the interesting aspects of the model very clear in our theory. This paper presents the process-oriented model and some of its features and the inference process in the results of our discussions to use this type of approach to the value chain.
