Abstract

Sustainable supply chain management, as an important organizational philosophy, seeks to achieve profitability by reducing environmental impacts. Organizations must have sufficient knowledge and information about their industry and sustainable development in order to be able to follow the path of implementing sustainable measures. One of the most important factors that has a significant impact on the implementation of a sustainable supply chain is knowledge management. Knowledge management can    improve supply chain performance in protecting the environment and increase the competitive position of the organization. The aim of the present study is to examine the effective and key barriers to applying knowledge management in the supply chain network by considering sustainability aspects. Effective        barriers were identified through a literature review in four dimensions: cultural barriers, organizational barriers, managerial barriers, innovation and technological barriers. The statistical population of the    research experts of Kaleh Dairy Company consists of 5 executive managers, 3 planning experts and a  training and knowledge manager who were selected through a judgmental sampling method. Data analysis was performed using a new approach based on DEMETL and the best-worst weights method. The results showed that managerial barriers and innovation and technological barriers have a high priority among other main dimensions. The barriers of "lack of managerial planning regarding the adoption of knowledge management in sustainable supply chains", "weak accountability of managers in the supply chain area" and "failure to consider technological aspects by managers with traditional perspectives" were respectively the most important effective barriers in the establishment of knowledge management in sustainable supply chains.
