Identifying and Prioritizeing Supply Chain Digitization Barriers Using the ISM Approach

Abstract

Digital supply chain is a type of information systems development and adoption of innovative technologies that enhances the integration and agility of the supply chain and, as a result, improves customer service and sustainable business performance. The main objective of this research is to identify and prioritize the      barriers to supply chain digitalization using the ISM approach. This research is applied in terms of       classification based on purpose and is a descriptive post-event research in terms of classification based on method. The sampling method of this research is purposive and 20 chemical industry experts and academic experts were surveyed. The data collection tool in this research is paired comparison questionnaires and the data collected were analyzed through interpretive structural technique. And the reliability of this issue was confirmed through classification and the results of the research showed; The obstacles of traditional management style, lack of training, cultural and organizational barriers, environmental barriers, lack of proper infrastructure, limited financial resources, and lack of awareness of the benefits of supply chain   digitalization are among the most important obstacles to supply chain digitalization.
