Today, logistics operations around the world are used to reduce costs and deliver goods on time, as well as to improve quality and improve freight forwarding. This scope of use reflects the major share of logistics in the growth of the national economy. In general, logistics is a laborious and difficult process in which military and civilian organizations, businessmen, public and national institutions, and the public face many difficulties to carry out. In fact, that's why the role of information technology (IT) comes into play. IT can make a significant practical difference in solving logistical problems. The present article examines the evolution of IT in logistics.
