The concept of logistics is one of the concepts that is difficult to define due to the relevant historical development in military and industrial systems and also due to its semantic breadth. This concept has been formed in military systems for centuries and has been introduced to production and industrial systems for more than half a century. The complexity of the concept of logistics is such that some experts consider logistics to be equivalent to all activities in an organization in industrial and manufacturing organizations, and some other thinkers consider a very small part of an organization as logistics. Of course, the above two interpretations show the state of extremism in the definitions, but between these two interpretations, which are at the two ends of the spectrum, there are hundreds of definitions of the concept of logistics.
It has been suggested that each is thought-provoking and can be a basis for understanding concepts.
In this paper, an attempt is made to clarify the semantic range of logistics by indirectly, by defining the concepts related to logistics. In this regard, first the process of gradual evolution of logistical concepts is presented and then the position of each of these concepts is introduced and then a brief review of each of the relevant concepts is given.
