The aim of the present research is to provide a framework for performance management and determination of maintenance indicators based on the Balanced Scorecard method in affiliated hospitals of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The research approach is mixed (qualitative-quantitative), and the research method is exploratory. In the first stage, data was collected from various articles, relevant theses, documents available in the hospital, and indicators of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, as well as individual interviews using the Delphi method. The statistical population in the qualitative section included senior managers of the hospital and faculty members of the Management and Health Economics Department of the School of Health, affiliated hospitals of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The sampling method in the qualitative section was non-probability judgmental sampling, and 12 people were selected as members of the Balanced Scorecard team. The statistical population in the quantitative section included all senior, middle, and basic managers of Shahid Beheshti Hospital, including the head, deputies, internal managers, nursing, human resources, financial, quality improvement, health information technology, medical equipment, and hospital health information. The sampling method in the quantitative section was proportional cluster random sampling with a volume of 384 people.
