Industry 4.0 has provided a smart perspective on the management of supply chain networks and their operations. Among the industries where providing smart products is considered one of the important requirements in the competitive environment, the FMCG industry is one. This article proposes a pioneering theoretical framework focusing on the requirements for implementing a smart supply chain and using practical strategies and problem-solving abilities, which is specifically designed for the FMCG industry. The framework aims to provide insights and strategies for FMCG companies to implement a smart supply chain. This research has a qualitative approach and has developed a conceptual framework using thematic analysis through semi-structured interviews. The statistical population includes academic experts, from whom 11 people were selected through purposive sampling and participated in this study. The number of samples follows the saturation rule. The research findings show that. The concepts were identified in the form of 5 main themes including process adoption, participation, culture building, process synchronization and supply chain intelligence and were examined at four levels: physical, organizational, data and technology. The proposed framework provides FMCG supply chains with a roadmap to transform their supply chain operations to achieve operational intelligence. By adopting this framework, FMCG industry can increase their competitive advantage in the digital world and drive business growth. The results of the study indicate that intelligence can be successfully used in FMCG supply chains in various business areas to provide better service and transparency.
